FAQ
Where is the Opening Day taking place?
It will take place at our Equine and Small Animal Hospital in Blackmore, just 20 minutes from Billericay (and a lovely drive!) and about 15 minutes from Writtle.
Does it cost to come?
No, it is free to join us. There will be fund-raising things going on, a couple of food trucks and some craft stalls, so it might be a good idea to bring a little money, but you don't have to spend anything to have fun.
What times is the Open Day?
The day is running from 11am - 4pm. There will be lots going on all day.
Is there on-site parking?
Yes indeed. We will be using one of our fields for parking.
Can I bring my dog? (probably not your horse though... 🙃)
Yes of course! We're a veterinary practice after all, and we love nothing more than meeting your poppets. All we would ask is that all dogs are kept on a lead as there will be other animals, including horses, around, and hopefully lots of humans with their little humans. If they are very nervous, or likely to get spooked by horses, we would suggest it may not be appropriate to bring them. They will not enjoy it if they are stressed. There will be water bowls placed around the site for your puppa.
There will also be a fun dog show which you may want to enter your canine companion into!
Don't forget to smile for the cameras!
Please be aware that we will be taking pictures and video on the day for our own social media pages.
Pray for nice weather and we hope to see you on the 20th September!
