Equine Vaccinations:
For all affiliated competitions and many local competitions ‘flu vaccinations are compulsory for all horses attending. A primary course of 3 vaccinations, with the second vaccination required 21-60 days after the first, and the third vaccination required 120-180 days after the second one. Flu vaccinations then require boosting each year, on or before the annual ‘due date’. You are usually not allowed to compete within 7 days of any vaccination being given, so you need to plan ahead. Competition rules do vary and FEI rules are more stringent, so please check the rules for the competitions in which you are competing. As the horse owner you are responsible for ensuring that your vaccinations are compliant. House and Jackson cannot take any liability for vaccines being non-compliant with the rules.
