IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY

Horse Clients

If your horse needs help urgently, please phone the following number:

01277 823808

During the day, a nurse or receptionist will answer your call and arrange for an Equine vet to see your horse.

In the evening and during the night, an automated message will ask you which vet you require. Press 1 for an Equine vet, and you will be redirected to the paging service.

Leave your message with the paging service operator which must include your name, horse's name, your telephone number and a brief description of the problem, and this will be forwarded to the Duty Vet who will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible.

Payment:  Unless you have a previously arranged account with House & Jackson, you will need to make arrangements to pay at the time of the emergency service.

Visits:  Home visits can be arranged in exceptional circumstances, but these are rarely in the best interests of a sick animal who will have to be moved to the Hospital to receive effective treatment and simply delay access to the range of facilities we have at the Hospital.

Emergency Clinic:  Emergency appointments will be seen at the Blackmore Hospital where we have the best facilities for the full range of care that an emergency case might need.
