Meet the Equine Nursing Team
The practice has been recognised as a Veterinary Nurse (VN) training centre for many years and we always have a long list of potential young trainees who would like to join us. We undertake our own staff training in addition to the requirements of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Our nurses are supported by a team of grooms and nursing assistants who help look after the animals at our Blackmore clinic.
We have several qualified equine nurses, who help us to look after our patients in the best possible way. Our nurses also offer free advice to our clients, e.g. feeding advice and weight consultations, which are a common requests from our clients. The nurses will also be able to help you with bandaging, and general husbandry advice.

Deputy Head Nurse Horse Clinic Michelle Wilson EVN RVN
Michelle leads our equine nursing team. She is responsible for the day to day management of our equine hospital. She has a particular interest in stud medicine and surgical nursing. Michelle breeds Thoroughbreds to race; her first progeny will race this season. Michelle is happy to advise clients on all aspects of horse management.
